Replay field guide 03 / Fight

Review squad fights

A kill feed gives the result. A replay shows the order: first damage, who got knocked, the revive window and whether another team joined the fight.

Open a PUBG match

Find the fight, then rewind

Open a match and focus your squad. Use the timeline's fight and elimination markers to jump near the engagement. The Events panel can narrow the list to fight events; the kill feed gives you the final sequence. Start a few seconds before the first damage so you can see the positions that created it. If you only have a teammate's match ID, the opening guide covers that intake path.

Review the engagement in order

  1. First contact: pause at the first damage. Mark where each teammate stood and which opponent was close enough to trade. Check whether the team was pushing together or split between cover positions.
  2. First knock: step to the knock marker. Was it converted into a kill, was the player revived, or did another team finish the fight? The Players report separates knock outcomes; the map shows the positions.
  3. The response: follow the next few seconds at a slower speed. Use the Teams report to compare damage and losses against the opponent, and the Throws tab to see recorded throwable use. Do not infer an unrecorded grenade or callout.
  4. The finish or disengage: stop at the team wipe, revive, or escape. If a third-party marker appears, rewind to its first damage. It may change which team deserves credit for the decisive pressure.
One useful note

Write one timestamp and one action: “At 12:40 we split before the first knock; hold the same angle until the second player arrives.” A specific change is easier to test next match than “take better fights.”

What the replay measures

PUBG telemetry lists health damage, knocks, revives and kills as separate events. ReplayDojo combines them with player positions for a fight timeline. The sequence is useful for locating a trade or revive opportunity; it does not prove what any player knew, heard or intended. The official PUBG event reference defines the underlying records.

Was the fight forced by a crowded landing or a late move? Review the drop or the zone rotation before changing your fight plan.
