Open a saved match reportto see the six players with the most hero damage. The report uses the game's final scoreboard counter. It answers who dealt the most damage to enemy heroes in that match; it does not measure healing, structure damage or damage to troopers.
Find the ability behind the number
In the replay viewer, open the scoreboard's Damage by sourceview. Each hero's damage is grouped by ability, weapon or item. In the example below, Seven's largest recorded source is Power Surge, followed by Storm Cloud. Those rows come from damage messages in that match.

Read a death recap
Select a death in the event feed. The recap shows the victim's last ten seconds of damage: the five largest hero hits, the total from heroes and a separate total for other sources such as troopers and structures. It does not list every hit.
In this match, Wraith killed Ivy at 38:24. The recap shows 4,040 damage from enemy heroes in the preceding ten seconds. Rewind before 38:24 to check Ivy's position and whether the fight was already lost before the final hit.

Why the two totals differ
The final Hero dmgcolumn is the game's scoreboard counter. Damage by source sums individual damage messages, which round each hit. The sum can be higher than the counter. ReplayDojo shows the gap for that match instead of scaling the sources to make them add up. Use the scoreboard value to compare players; use the source list to inspect how damage was dealt.
Check the souls and objective timeline alongside damage, then watch the fight around the death. If the demo has no damage messages, the detailed view and recaps cannot be built.
