How to read Town Center idle time
Town Center idle time is a useful review prompt. In a replay, it is an estimate built from the commands the recording preserved.
Look for gaps, then look for causes
A production gap can be intentional. You may have spent resources elsewhere, shifted priorities, or faced pressure that made continuous production impossible. Open the timeline around a gap before treating the number as a verdict.
Compare the gap with age transitions, buildings, and combat on the map. The question is what you chose at that moment and whether you would choose it again.
Why the estimate is a lower bound
The analyzer simulates the Town Center queue from recorded commands and game data. A replay does not provide a complete state snapshot at each point in time. Unobserved state can leave additional idle time outside the reconstruction, so the reported value is a lower bound.
Use the estimate to locate possible stretches of inactivity. It should not be treated as an exact measure of every second the Town Center was idle in the original match.
A better review question
Instead of asking whether the total is good, ask which gap mattered. Find one stretch where you had a plan, see what happened on the map, and decide what cue would help you act sooner next game.
